A weekly checklist that syncs through Chrome Sync, shows pending tasks on the toolbar badge, and can carry incomplete items forward or copy an entire week to the next.
TIP
Navigate to next week's column to plan ahead, then enable carry-forward once so unfinished tasks roll in automatically.
Getting started
- Install WeekWise and sign in to Chrome for sync (recommended).
- Click the toolbar icon to open the current week.
- Type a task and press Add (max 500 characters per task).
- Check items off as you complete them; the badge count updates automatically.
Weekly view
Arrow buttons move between weeks. The label shows the Monday-start date range. Each task row has a checkbox, autosizing textarea (up to 360 px tall), and delete control. An empty state appears when a week has no tasks.
Theme cycles through system, light, and dark from the header control.
Settings
Open the three-dot menu for:
- Sync storage usage stats with refresh
- Weekly checklists saved count
- Copy this week's tasks to next week (skips duplicates and blanks)
- Continue incomplete tasks from last week toggle
- Clear all checklists (confirmation; removes week and legacy day keys)
- Privacy panel, Chrome Web Store review link, and donate link
Sync and storage
Tasks live under keys wcl_YYYY-MM-DD (Monday week start) in chrome.storage.sync. Each task stores {id, text, done, c}. Settings use wcl_settings (theme, continueLastWeek). Carry-forward stamps wcl_carry_stamp once per calendar week.
Retention prunes data older than 52 weeks. Legacy day keys (wcl_d_*) are cleared on full reset.

If sync quota is exceeded, an error banner appears when saving fails.
Toolbar badge
The background script shows pending (unchecked) tasks for the current week on the extension icon (cap 99+, blue #2563eb). An alarm refreshes the badge every 30 minutes.

Privacy

Editing very old or far-future weeks shows a scope hint. Large task lists may approach Chrome Sync storage limits; use Clear all if needed.
