Search and replace text in input fields and editable content on any page—with highlighting, favourites, history, and regex support.

Add to Chrome

Getting started

  1. Install Find & Replace from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Open a page with editable text (email, blog editor, form, forum, etc.).
  3. Click the extension icon (or use the keyboard shortcut) to open the panel.
  4. Enter your find text, then replace—matches highlight as you type.

Search options

  • Match case — case-sensitive search
  • Whole words — match complete words only
  • Regular expressions — advanced patterns, with a regex info preview
  • Limit to selection — search only within selected text
  • Include single-line inputs — also scan one-line <input> fields

Extras

  • Favourites — save frequent find/replace pairs
  • History — recall up to ten recent searches
  • Occurrence highlighting — see every match as you type
